Automation & PLC Engineer | Project Site near Roding / Nuenburg vom Wald
We are supporting an automation project in Bavaria and are looking to speak with Automation / PLC Engineers with hands-on experience programming, testing, and commissioning industrial automation systems.
The role will be linked to a project site near Roding and Nuremberg, with travel to site required during installation and commissioning phases. Some work can be completed from home during preparation, software development, and pre-commissioning stages.
You will be working with robotic (de)palletizers, conveyor systems, AGVs, and shuttle systems as part of a wider automated warehouse / intralogistics environment.
Responsibilities:
- PLC programming, modification, testing, and commissioning
- Working hands-on next to the machine during site phases
- Supporting installation, startup, troubleshooting, and system validation
- Preparing software, documentation, and commissioning plans remotely where possible
Required Experience:
- PLC programming experience, ideally Siemens / TIA Portal from scratch
- Deep understanding of Structured Text
- Experience commissioning automation, machinery, conveyor, intralogistics, packaging, or industrial systems
- Ability to work independently on site and communicate clearly with project teams
- Comfortable with travel to project site when required
- German fluency required
