Project Administration Intern
IntePros is currently seeking a Project Administration Intern to support a leading company in the environmental engineering industry at their Pittsburgh, PA office. This internship is ideal for current college students or recent graduates pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field who are looking to gain hands-on experience in project coordination, billing, and accounting operations within a professional services environment.
In this role, you will support project teams with administrative and financial processes related to environmental engineering projects. The selected candidate should be detail-oriented, organized, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with setting up and maintaining project information within the accounting system
- Support review of contracts, budgets, payment terms, and project documentation
- Help verify project billing information, rate schedules, and invoice details
- Assist with employee expense report processing and data entry
- Support project billing cycles by preparing reports, processing invoice edits, and organizing required documentation
- Track project-related accounts receivable and accounts payable information
- Generate reports and assist with monthly project accounting activities
- Provide administrative support including filing, data entry, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements
- Collaborate with project managers, accounting staff, vendors, and clients as needed
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong interest in project accounting, finance, or operations within a professional services environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Previous internship, campus leadership, administrative, or accounting experience is a plus
- Experience with accounting or ERP systems is preferred but not required
