Thomson Power Systems (TPS) - (a Regal Rexnord company) a leading manufacturer of electrical products and systems for the power generation industry with over 50 years of proven excellence. Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the business has the right quantity of goods and materials at the right time and at the right cost to meet the production and operational needs. This role involves strategic planning, purchasing, inventory control, and supplier relationship management to ensure uninterrupted flow of materials and goods required for production. Main responsibilities:
- Drive full purchasing cycle on assigned categories / materials. Owner of end-to-end PO process on assigned categories / materials.
- Place purchasing orders and follow up with suppliers to meet production schedule.
- Maintain the integrity of work order and purchase order data in SAP.
- Manage inventory levels (stock, project, VMI, MRO) for reorder.
- Review daily and weekly production plans to ensure material availability.
- Expedite and adjust according to internal customer requirements.
- Provide delivery updates to internal customers and key stakeholders.
- Monitor, identify, and resolve past due backlog issues proactively (delivery, Invoice, etc).
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and trade compliance procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and activities as required.
- Be the point of contact for purchasing related inquiries for the categories assigned.
Education, experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in procurement with demonstrated results.
- Demonstrated experience in ERP and MRP (transactional and planning module).
- Experience in SAP will be considered as an asset.
- Experience in inventory control will be an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
- Effective communication skills in English.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada without requiring company sponsorship to obtain or keepwork authorization.
