Role Description
This is a 15 month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance the Finance Business Partner will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, delivering strategic financial insight, robust analysis and actionable recommendations that drive performance and support informed decision-making. The role will lead on budgeting, forecasting and management reporting for Europe while also contributing to key commercial projects. In addition, the position will play a strategic role in M&A activities partnering with the business to assess financial implications, support integration planning and ensure alignment with group objectives.
Strategic Business Partnering
- Build strong relationships with senior leaders and operational teams to influence decisions and drive value
- Act as a trusted advisor, challenging assumptions and supporting strategic initiatives
- Collaborate with the Head of Commercial Finance to shape financial strategies aligned with group objectives
Commercial Analysis & Insight
- Deliver insightful financial analysis to support pricing, investment decisions and profitability improvement
- Provide scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis for strategic projects
- Provide forward looking analysis that identifies risks, opportunities and levers to improve profitability
- Translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders
Management Information & Reporting
- Lead the development of MI dashboards and KPIs that highlight trends, risks and opportunities
- Ensure timely, accurate reporting that supports operational and strategic decision-making
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and tools (e.g., TM1, WorkDay, Power BI)
- Improve data quality and collaborate with operations/IT to enhance system driven reporting
Planning & Forecasting
- Own budgeting and forecasting for designated business units
- Provide variance analysis with clear commentary linking performance to business drivers
- Support long-term planning and commercial strategy development
M&A Support
- Provide financial insight during due diligence, focusing on business drivers, risks and integration considerations
- Support post-acquisition integration ensuring alignment with group objectives
- Monitor and Track financial performance of newly acquired entities during their earn-out period to report on contingent consideration payable
- Help with the testing of the Opening Balance Sheet when a new business is acquired
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Support audits and maintain robust documentation for financial governance
Qualifications
- Degree level or equivalent educational qualifications
- Relevant financial certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Background in a highly acquisitive environment with experience supporting ongoing M&A activity
- Previous experience in a Business Partnering role
- Proven track record in delivering commercial insight and influencing strategic decisions
- Exposure to M&A processes at a strategic level. Proactive and solution-oriented

- Adaptable to change and able to work in fast-paced environments
