Hartmann Young is partnered with a confidential, high-growth contract manufacturer in the nutraceutical and health & wellness space, supporting the hire of a Business Development Manager to drive their next phase of growth.


This is a female-founded business with ~20 years’ market presence, known for its strong culture, long-tenured team, and highly collaborative environment. Following a recent expansion, the business continues to invest in both capacity and digitalisation.


Operating as a full-service, turnkey CDMO, they specialise in powders and bulk production, offering end-to-end capabilities from formulation through to manufacturing, packaging, and distribution.


The Role

This is a new business-focused Business Development role, responsible for driving growth across contract manufacturing services.


You’ll operate as a true cross-functional partner, sitting at the intersection of commercial, technical, and operational teams, ensuring opportunities are not only won, but successfully delivered.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving new client acquisition across nutraceutical and adjacent markets
  • Owning the end-to-end commercial process, from initial engagement through to handover and ongoing account development
  • Acting as the bridge between customers and internal teams (R&D, operations, quality), ensuring alignment on feasibility, timelines, and delivery
  • Collaborating closely with technical teams to translate customer needs into viable manufacturing solutions
  • Building long-term, strategic customer relationships grounded in trust and delivery
  • Contributing to internal planning and forecasting, aligning commercial activity with operational capacity
  • Representing the business externally across industry events, networks, and customer engagements


What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in contract manufacturing (nutraceuticals or pharma CDMO)
  • Strong understanding of compliance, quality, and manufacturing processes
  • A structured, organised approach with the ability to manage multiple complex opportunities
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Highly personable, with strong relationship-building and communication skills
