The engineer leads backend code development, oversees day‑ to ‑ day activities of the backend development team, conducts code reviews, and actively contributes to software design and implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to identify and solve complex technical problems and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by following good practices and habits.
- Develop, test and document Java-based software components in accordance with requirements.
- Contribute to all stages of software development lifecycle.
- Identify and resolve any technical issue arising.
- Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.
- Create design documentation.
- Plan and support releases.
- Work in a scaled Agile working environment.
- Be part of a global and diverse team.
- 10+ years of Java development experience.
- In-depth experience with Spring Framework.
- Experience with Microservice-oriented architecture and API management concepts.
- Previous experience with application servers (any of the following: JBoss, Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere)
- Experience with REST and SOAP.
- Knowledge of TeamCity/Jenkins, Maven, GIT, Atlassian tools ecosystem.
- SQL basic knowledge.
- Proven experience in a Backend Lead Role

- Experience with Google Cloud/Kubernetes/Docker/OpenShift
