This role offers the opportunity to influence how the department monitors and communicates program performance, while building capability, leading a high performing team, and contributing to outcomes that benefit communities across Queensland.
In the role of Manager (Reporting) you will lead and provide direction on the reporting and analysis for the department's annual Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program (Q TRIP) publication, including preparing and providing information for state and federal budgetary processes, Estimates Committee Hearings, and whole-of-government program performance reporting requirements. You will provide high level strategic advice, expertise and leadership in relation to program reporting for the department.
Some Of The Key Responsibilities For This Role Include
- Lead and provide direction for the preparation and delivery of the QTRIP and State Budget documentation, including Budget Paper 3 — Capital Statement (BP3), Regional Delivery Plans (RDPS) and Service Delivery Statement (SDS), as well as the department's Annual Report.
- Lead and manage the preparation of insightful program performance analysis for delivery areas and senior executives and respond to internal and external reporting needs, including the Transport Infrastructure Portfolio performance and the whole-of-government Capital Program performance. This includes developing reporting and dashboard processes and templates, procedures and guidelines, extracting relevant financial and non-financial data, and conducting data verification activities.
- Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will beundertaken prior to appointment to the role.
- Proven experience in interpreting and analysing large, complex data sets to prepare spreadsheets, dashboards, reports and presentations in an easy-to-read format. Including a high degree of proficiency in data analysis tools and software is essential, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated experience in driving continuous improvement and providing innovative solutions in systems and processes related to reporting.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders across the department and external partners, including Queensland Treasury and the Department of State Development, Infrastructure and Planning.
