Full-time | $110,000–$130,000 base + super + OTE | Reports to MD

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Associated Iron & Steel (AI&S) is a Brisbane-based precision engineering firm with nearly four decades of industry leadership. As we continue to grow across sectors including mining, materials handling, agriculture, and infrastructure, we’re looking for a driven Business Development Manager to expand our client base and forge lasting partnerships. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll be the first call for new and existing clients — championing our promise of quality that counts.

COMPENSATION

Base salary

$110,000 – $130,000

+ superannuation

On-target earnings (OTE)

$20,000 – $30,000

Performance bonus for hitting growth targets

REPORTING STRUCTURE

Reports directly to the Managing Director

Senior leadership role with direct visibility and input into company growth strategy.

THE ROLE

Key responsibilities

— Identify and develop new business across target industries

— Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts

— Represent AI&S at industry events and trade shows

— Collaborate with engineering teams to scope and quote projects

— Build a pipeline through strategic outreach and networking

— Report on activity, forecasts, and market intelligence to the MD

What we’re looking for

— 5+ years in B2B business development or technical sales

— Background in engineering, manufacturing, or heavy industry

— Strong understanding of fabrication or machining services

— Confident communicator and relationship builder

— Results-driven with a hunter mentality

— Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel within QLD
