A key aspect of this position will include conducting research on impact factors such as pricing, competition and customer preferences/needs along with final product performance characteristics of new and updated products.
Key Responsibilities / Primary Duties:
- Develop product positioning, messaging, and value propositions
- Coordinate go-to-market strategy and planning for new product launches
- Conduct competitive analysis and monitor category trends
- Generate and apply consumer insights to inform strategy
- Partner with sales, production, inventory, research & development, regulatory affairs, and customer service teams to align initiatives and timelines
- Review and approve artwork and marketing copy
- Support pricing, packaging, and innovation decisions
- Drive packaging execution from concept to shelf, managing timelines for launches and change
- Lead specified packaging transition efforts. For example: Product or packaging failures/Formula Revisions/Discontinues/and Excess inventory evaluations. This would involve sales volume analysis, future demand needs, inventory evaluation, providing decision makers with applicable data, communicating go-forward planning, and progress tracking.
- Backup support for various product development responsibilities including, but not limited to, mock-ups, sales tools, regulatory coordination, consumer testing, translations, intellectual property takedowns, brand registration and protection, team product knowledge training, trade show execution
- Perform miscellaneous duties as requested by supervisor.
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year institution in Marketing or a Marketing related field of study preferred. Minimum – two-year Associate’s Degree.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in product or brand marketing (CPG preferred)
- Strong analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Experience with product launches and market research
- Ability to translate insights into actionable strategies
