LegalTech Manager – Germany | Early-Stage | This One's Not for Everyone

About TRATO

TRATO is a cloud-based CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) platform helping companies stop drowning in contracts and start actually managing them. We sit at the intersection of legal expertise and software — and we're on a mission to bring that to Europe. 135+ enterprise clients across Latin America and Europe. Now we're coming to Germany.

About the Role

We're not hiring a lawyer. We're looking for someone who happens to have a law background — specifically in digital, tech, or commercial law — but whose real superpower is opening doors, building relationships, and making things happen in a market they know cold.

This is a ground-floor role. You won't inherit a client list or a playbook. You'll write both.

The arrangement starts as a Memorandum of Understanding — lean, flexible, honest. We're not promising a fat salary on day one. We're offering something rarer: the chance to build a market from scratch, with a product that genuinely solves a real problem, backed by a team that has done it before.

If that sounds like a step down, this role isn't for you. If it sounds like the most interesting thing you've read all week, keep going.

What You'll Actually Do

  • Hunt. Find TRATO's first clients in Germany — law firms, corporate legal departments, and scale-ups drowning in contract chaos. You know where they are. Go get them.
  • Bridge. Translate what TRATO does into something that resonates with German legal culture — rigorous, trust-driven, compliance-aware (GDPR, BDSG, AGB, the works).
  • Build. Shape how we enter this market — pricing signals, partnership channels, early adopter strategy. Your fingerprints on the whole thing.
  • Fundraise. Tap your network. Help us connect with investors who get legaltech, German B2B SaaS, or both. This is a real part of the role, not an afterthought.
  • Show up. Events, associations, legaltech meetups, bar associations, startup ecosystems. You like rooms full of people. Good.

Who We're Looking For

  • Legal background — ideally digital law, tech law, or commercial/contract law. You understand what we sell because you've lived the problem.
  • Startup mindset. You've either worked in one, built one, or spent enough time around them to know that ambiguity is a feature, not a bug.
  • A network in Germany's legal or business world that you're not shy about using.
  • The kind of person who closes the laptop and goes to the dinner anyway — because that's where deals actually start.
  • Fluent German, solid English. Wow, if you know Spanish too, but not a must.
  • Zero interest in waiting for permission.

What We Offer

  • A seat at the table — not a chair in the corner. You'll work directly with TRATO's CEO and leadership team.
  • Real upside: equity participation and a path to a leadership role tied to the investment round we're actively closing.
  • The chance to say, years from now, that you were the person who brought TRATO to Germany.
  • A company with serious ambition, a proven product, and a team that executes.

This is early. It's lean. It will require genuine belief in what we're building — and the drive to prove it works in a new market.

If you're the kind of person who gets energized by that, let's talk.
