Counter Sales Consultant

Maas is a diversified industrial group that has grown significantly since its establishment in 2002. Founded by Wes Maas with just one Bobcat and a tipper truck, the company has built a strong reputation and now operates across various segments, including Construction Materials, Civil Construction and Hire, Manufacturing and Equipment Sales, and Residential and Commercial Real Estate.

Astley's is a plumbing and hardware store located in Dubbo owned, specialising in Plumbing, Hardware, Plaster, Industrial & Bathroom & Kitchen supplies. The Astley's business has approximately 35 employees, and services Dubbo and majority of the Western NSW. There aren’t many buildings in the Dubbo area that Astley’s haven’t contributed to in some way.

About The Role

As the Counter Sales Consultant, you will be assisting customers with their selections and purchases from our amazing showrooms, working in our very new Astley's building.

You will recommend and assist with sales to customers and clients. You must be a self-driven, organised individual who can establish and maintain relationships with customers / clients. You will have the ability to communicate with customers in person, by phone and by email to understand their needs and requirements. The Counter Sales Consultant must have a sound understanding of the Company’s various products and services and be able to prepare a compelled sales pitch to potential customers

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensure showroom is kept to a high standard of cleanliness
• Ensure pricing structure is supported and checked in accordance to policy and procedures. Quote to a pre-determined value - communicate to the leadership team and procurement team
• Ensure all stock is processed in a timely manner
• Follow up and report on supplier stock delays
• Utilise reports to manage stock, deleted stock and old stock to meet company expectations
• Ensure good communication to leadership in a timely manner
• Be customer centric
• Be safety focused
• Be proactive in additional sales at time of sale
• Place orders, ensure shelves are full clean and tidy everyday
• Actively contribute to the wider team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service focus
• Previous experience in similar role in retain hardware would be desirable
• Current driver's license
