Director of Emerging Solutions – Portfolio Performance & Analytics

• Boston, MA (Hybrid: Tues–Thurs On-Site)
• $200K–$210K Base + Bonus

We’re seeking a Director of Emerging Solutions to help drive innovation and modernization across investment and operational functions within a leading asset management environment. Reporting to the Head of Portfolio Performance & Analytics, this role will focus on leveraging AI and emerging technologies to improve scalability, automation, risk oversight, and operational efficiency across areas such as portfolio optimization, tax management, cash equitization, securities lending, and flow management.

This is a highly strategic and cross-functional role ideal for someone with deep investment management experience, strong analytical and technical capabilities, and a passion for applying AI-driven solutions to complex business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to optimize and automate investment and operational processes using AI and advanced technologies
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to design and implement data-driven tools, analytics, and oversight solutions
• Translate complex business challenges into scalable technical and analytical solutions
• Analyze large structured and unstructured datasets to deliver predictive and prescriptive insights
• Help modernize platforms, workflows, reporting, and operational processes across the organization
• Collaborate with leadership, technology, and business teams to drive innovation strategy and execution
• Build prototypes and scalable analytical tools leveraging AI, Python, SQL, and visualization platforms

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in asset management, investment analytics, or related financial services environments
• Hands-on experience applying AI to investment management use cases
• Strong technical skills with Python, SQL, Tableau and/or Power BI
• Experience working with large investment management datasets and operational workflows
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive process transformation
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
