We are currently seeking for experienced & ambitious team players to become part of our dynamic IT team within our Internal Services department in Thessaloniki, working directly with Deloitte Switzerland.

#YourRole

As our Technology Sustainability Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering Deloitte’s technology-focused net-zero ambitions. This is a unique opportunity to drive meaningful environmental impact by embedding sustainability across our technology operations, procurement decisions and digital ecosystem.

Bringing a strong foundation in technology together with awareness of how sustainability considerations apply within technical environments, you will work closely with Technology leaders to understand how their domains operate and support them in aligning their work with Deloitte’s net-zero commitments. Your ability to interpret data, connect activity across teams and communicate with clarity will be central to enabling meaningful progress and driving sustainability outcomes across the organization.

Acting at the heart of Deloitte’s technology net-zero agenda, you will bring together the people, insights and momentum needed to turn plans into real progress. By coordinating multiple specialist workstreams, you will build alignment, accelerate progress and help ensure delivery stays on track with the firm’s Net-zero Transition Plan.

#KeyResponsibilities

  • Demonstrate a proactive, self-driven mindset with a hands-on approach to managing and delivering key initiatives, ensuring practical solutions and timely execution across all technology net-zero activities.

  • Drive coordinated delivery of Deloitte’s technology net-zero activities across Switzerland, ensuring all workstreams stay aligned with the firm’s Net-Zero Transition Plan, priorities and milestones. This includes, among other activities, supporting the delivery of technology emissions dashboards; embedding net-zero considerations into technology decision-making; advancing energy efficiency initiatives; optimising the hardware lifecycle; setting net-zero expectations of technology suppliers; and enabling firmwide behaviour change.

  • Facilitate effective crossfunctional collaboration, bringing together Sustainability, Technology, Procurement and other key groups to ensure activities are synchronised and dependencies are managed.

  • Monitor delivery progress across all workstreams, ensuring each team remains on track against objectives and timelines, without directly owning technical delivery.

  • Take ownership of and directly deliver a defined set of priority initiatives within the NetZero Transition Plan. This includes driving forward discrete work packages where dedicated delivery leadership is required, reinforcing the role’s contribution to advancing the firm’s net‑zero ambitions, such as the roll out and management of a tech emissions dashboard and embedding and assessing sustainability considerations in governance and decision forums.

  • Provide clear, timely and actionable updates to leadership, including the Swiss Climate Steer Co, through wider net-zero programme status reporting, highlighting achievements, challenges, risks and recommended next steps.

  • Support the Sustainability team in the evolution and delivery of the firm’s external sustainability reporting processes, including the shift toward more product‑ and service‑specific disclosures, ensuring technology‑related inputs are accurate, timely and aligned with emerging reporting expectations.

  • Skilled in creating accurate, insightful reports and visualisations leveraging e.g. PowerBi that effectively communicate data to support business decision-making

  • Lead horizonscanning across sustainability and technology, working closely with Sustainability SGO colleagues to track emerging practices and themes, using these insights to inform strategy and ensure Deloitte remains competitive and aligned with evolving client and stakeholder expectations.

#RequiredSkills

  • 2-3 yeas of professional working experience related to sustainability
  • Awareness of sustainability topics relevant to technology — such as emissions measurement, operational energy efficiency, hardware lifecycle optimisation or sustainable procurement.
  • Understanding of how technology decisions are governed, including investment processes, business cases, technical reviews, lifecycle management and procurement.
  • Ability to oversee and coordinate multiple workstreams, maintaining alignment with strategic goals and working with technical leaders to resolve risks, dependencies and bottlenecks.
  • Skilled at interpreting complex information — including technical and emissions data — and presenting insights clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, including senior leaders.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence and credibility to engage effectively with Technology, Sustainability, Procurement and other enabling functions.
  • Highly organised and proactive, able to manage multiple priorities and maintain momentum in a dynamic, multi‑team environment.

#PreferredSkills

  • Experience working within a technology function (e.g. infrastructure, cloud, end-user computing, architecture, digital transformation or technology operations).
  • Experience working in a large or matrixed organisation with multiple technology domains.
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure, data‑centre operations, device estate management, network environments or enterprise architecture principles.
  • Experience contributing to sustainability reporting or technology-related net-zero initiatives.
  • Relevant qualifications in technology management, sustainability or programme delivery.
