Basic Function
Reporting to the Post Closing Manager and Secondary Marketing team, the Post Closer will assist with various functions, including auditing files, agency loan deliveries, investor loan deliveries, working conditions for purchase review with investors, pulling purchase advices and FHA & USDA insuring.
Responsibilities
(Note: The following duties are typical of those performed by this role. Other related duties may also be performed. Incumbents may not necessarily perform all of the duties listed.)
- Audit loan files prior to delivery
- Ship loan files to investors & agencies
- Ship notes to our warehouse banks
- Pre-audit loans prior to loan delivery and follow up with appropriate parties to clear any outstanding audit issues
- Working conditions to clear loans with investors
- Pulling purchase advices
- Serve as a reliable point of leadership for team members
- Provide backup coverage for other team members as needed
- Other duties may be applicable as business needs may dictate and as assigned by management
Education/Experience
- Minimum of 1 years of mortgage post-closing experience
- 2+ years of mortgage operations experience
- Previous experience delivering to agencies a plus
- Must be experienced and familiar with all closing and origination docs
- Must understand mortgage regulations such as RESPA, TILA, etc.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Able to follow items on an audit checklist
- Detail-oriented and be able to multi-task
- Possess a positive attitude
- Be flexible in a fast-paced environment that is moving forward and constantly changing
- Be a team player and be willing to constructively contribute to the department
- Possess excellent and professional communication skills
- Able to prioritize & shift tasks to meet deadlines
Other Requirements
- This role requires work hours of 8am - 5pm Central
- This position is in-person at our headquarters in Brentwood, TN.
- Must be able to pass a criminal history information background check.
