Payroll Assistant

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Payroll Processing: Assist with weekly payroll duties, including data entry, calculation of overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
- Data Maintenance: Update and maintain employee files in the payroll system, including salary changes, tax withholdings, and benefits.
- Verification: Review timesheets and attendance records for accuracy.
- Employee Support: Serve as the primary contact for payroll-related questions and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Reporting: Assist in generating payroll reports and help prepare for audits or year-end tax filings (such as W-2s).
- Education: High school diploma required; a degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of previous payroll experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and payroll software.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational abilities, and high integrity in handling confidential information.
