For this key initiative, we are seeking an entrepreneurial leader who will play a pivotal role in shaping and developing this business area.
Your Role:
Business Builder with a Global Mandate In this role, you will be responsible for building and scaling a new, strategically relevant business segment focused on the control, monitoring, and optimization of turbomachinery (e.g., turbines, compressors). You will operate at the intersection of technology, market, and strategy - with a direct influence on the company’s future positioning.
Your Responsibilities:
- Building a global solution business in the field of Turbomachinery Control (TMC)
- Developing and implementing a market-oriented growth strategy
- Defining and further developing a scalable solution and service portfolio
- Analyzing market, customer, and competitive requirements
- Supporting international sales organizations in strategic projects and key accounts
- Establishing and developing a global Competence Center (Consulting, Engineering, Service)
- Establishing strategic partnerships (OEMs, technology partners, integrators)
- Close collaboration with Product Management and Marketing
- Evaluating and preparing strategic options, including Make/Buy/Partner as well as M&A prospects
Your Profile:
- Successful completion of a degree in engineering (e.g., mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, process engineering, automation engineering) or a comparable technical background
- Ideally supplemented by business expertise (e.g., MBA, additional qualification, or relevant practical experience in business development)
- Several years of experience in an international environment within the process industry, energy, or turbomachinery/rotating equipment
- Fluent command of German and English
- Experience in developing solutions, systems, or technical portfolios
- Proven track record in business development or building new business areas
- Ability to translate complex topics into scalable business models
- International experience and confident stakeholder management Entrepreneurial mindset, strategic strength, and a focus on execution
