We collaborate closely with discerning clients, architects, and builders to deliver a seamless, high-touch experience from concept through installation.
We are seeking a technically strong Designer with a focus on drafting and 3D modeling to support our growing team. This is a full time, in-office position at our studio in Newport Beach, California.
Position Overview
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented designer who thrives in the technical side of the design process and is passionate about translating design intent into clear, accurate documentation and models. You will work closely with the design team to produce drawing sets, develop 3D models, and support project execution across multiple high-end residential projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce comprehensive 2D drawing sets including floor plans, elevations, sections, RCPs, and detailed millwork drawings
- Develop and maintain 3D models to support design development, visualization, and presentations
- Translate design concepts, redlines, and specifications into accurate construction documents
- Coordinate with internal team members, architects, consultants, and contractors to ensure drawing accuracy and consistency
- Review and revise drawings to resolve spatial, technical, and proportion issues
- Assist with material and finish schedules, takeoffs, and technical detailing
- Maintain organized CAD/SketchUp files in accordance with firm standards
- Support site visits, field measurements, and as-built documentation as needed
- 3+ years of experience in residential interior architecture and/or design or related field (luxury residential preferred)
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
- Advanced 3D modeling skills (SketchUp required; rendering experience a plus)
- Solid understanding of construction documentation and detailing
- Ability to interpret and execute design intent with precision
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Collaborative mindset with clear and professional communication
- Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field preferred
- Technically skilled and take pride in clean, accurate drawing sets
- Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, reliable, and a strong communicator
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
- Invested in high-quality design and execution, with an eye for proportion and detail
