Automation Project Design Manager

- Work on the Design and Manage all aspects of current and potential automation projects.
- Work on the shop floor and in the office to ensure all tasks are completed.
- Travel with the system to the end user for installation supervision. (In house 85%, Travel 15%)
- Working with engineering and the machine build team for a successful project.
- Overseeing and participate in project design and project management.
- Managing multiple projects at the same time.
- Communicating with vendors.
- Providing updates to management and customers as needed.
- Tracking Project files and milestones.
- Overcoming and finding solutions to obstacles as they arise.
- 5+ Years of experience in the automation/robotics industry.
- Must have the ability to work with SolidWorks.
- PLC, Robot and all components familiarity preferred.
- Strong Mechanical aptitude.
- Knowledge of engineering materials.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with other CAD software preferred.
- Utilize and maintain effective written and verbal communication skills and techniques and effectively interact with the engineering department.
- Must be able to be a part of a self-directed work force requiring minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills are a must.
- Ability to critical think and is a must.
- Excellent organizational skills are a must.
- Excellent time management skills are a must.
- Must be able to be a good team member. Teamwork is a must.
- High School Degree.
