About the Role
A leading manufacturer of intelligent building and HVAC technologies is looking for a Lead Development Engineer to contribute to the technical development of embedded software for next-generation control devices used in data center environments. This role focuses on ensuring robust, secure, and efficient device operation in critical infrastructure, adhering to modern data center standards. This position requires close coordination and communication with engineering teams and stakeholders globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical execution of embedded software projects for HVAC devices used in data centers.
- Guide and coordinate internal and external software developers to ensure high-quality output.
- Design and implement software that adheres to advanced security standards, including OCP (Open Compute Project) guidelines.
- Integrate and manage data center-specific communication protocols, with a focus on the Redfish REST API.
- Collaborate closely with other domains (I&V, Sensing, Hardware) to ensure system requirements are met.
- Translate system requirements into coherent software architecture and actionable technical tasks.
- Ensure the seamless integration of features from underlying embedded platforms (RTOS, Matlab/Simulink).
- Communicate project status, challenges, and successes to all relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications & Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
- 5+ years of technical experience leading software development projects for embedded systems.
- Familiarity with data center infrastructure and management protocols, like REST APIs.
