Description:

• Works under general supervision, providing system engineering and software development support.
• Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a petabyte-scale multimedia analysis platform and multimedia review tools.
• Leads a technical team to implement new features, resolve software issues, and integrate multimedia analytics into workflows.
• Ensures tools are efficient, accessible, and compliant with agency policies across all operational and development environments.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform system engineering and develop a multimedia review tool using Agile methodology to integrate bug fixes, security enhancements, and new capabilities.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for the multimedia review tool code base; lead a team to implement features and resolve software issues.
• Deliver incremental multimedia review tool builds in alignment with MXU requirements using Agile processes.
• Enhance the tool to visually display, correlate, and report multimedia data based on metadata and analytics results.
• Integrate the ingestion workflow with other MXU systems to seamlessly transition data and processing results across geographically separated environments with limited bandwidth.
• Incorporate MXU analytics to allow users to quickly and intuitively view multimedia content.
• Deploy the multimedia review tool across all MXU designated development and operational environments.
• Maintain tool deployments in various infrastructures, ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and requirements.
• Provide planning insights, including level-of-effort estimates and timing decisions during project sessions.

Minimum Experience:

• In-depth knowledge of multimedia processing, analysis, and data management, with direct experience building and maintaining petabyte-scale multimedia platforms.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Vue.js.
• Experience developing applications with high throughput and large-scale data processing.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, CI/CD, and system engineering.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical teams, setting goals, assigning tasks, and driving projects to completion.
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience with UI/UX design for end-user tools.
