✨Now Hiring: Automated Test Analyst – Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Headquarters, Sacramento

Are you passionate about improving software quality, building automated testing solutions, and making a real impact for millions of Californians? The DMV’s Enterprise Test Automation Group (ETAG) is looking for an Automated Test Analyst to help strengthen and evolve our enterprise-wide test automation capabilities.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with talented QA, development, and business teams as we modernize DMV systems and deliver reliable, high-quality technology solutions to the public.


ℹ️ What You’ll Do

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test cases that enhance software quality across major DMV initiatives.
  • Translate manual regression tests into automated scripts and update existing test cases as systems evolve.
  • Validate that test cases are ready for automation and assist in ensuring consistency across multiple testing environments.
  • Execute automated test suites, analyze failures, and partner with Product Quality Assurance (PQA) teams to identify and resolve issues.
  • Support scheduled automation runs and ensure accurate test execution across projects.
  • Work with test analysts, developers, and business analysts to determine the best candidates for automation and document defects discovered during automated runs.
  • Engage in continuous improvement of the automation framework and supporting tools, helping to drive quality at scale.
