Guidance, Navigation and Control Engineer

This GNC Engineer will design, analyze, simulate, and test control systems for precision electro-optical and directed-energy systems. The engineer will develop control laws, validate models against test data, define system requirements, and ensure requirements flow correctly from the system level to individual components.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Guidance, Navigation, and Control experience, a strong foundation in classical control theory, and programming experience with MATLAB, Python, C, or a similar language. This is a senior-level role requiring independent technical judgment, cross-functional collaboration, and an active Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

Required

• Active Top Secret clearance used within the past 24 months
• Ability to obtain SCI or T5 access after starting
• Guidance, Navigation, and Control engineering experience
• Strong classical control theory knowledge
• Control-system analysis, modeling, simulation, and design experience
• Programming experience with MATLAB, Python, C, or a similar language
• Experience defining and tracing system requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in an approved engineering or technical discipline
• Ability to collaborate across systems, software, and hardware teams

Preferred

• Master’s degree or advanced control-systems coursework
• Hardware implementation experience
• Experience deploying algorithms into real-time systems
• Speedgoat experience
• Experience validating simulations against physical test data
• Exposure to FAA, MIL-SPEC, or NASA guidance
