Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled IT Coordinator to lead and manage our small business organization's information technology operations. In this role, you will oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring seamless service delivery across all departments. Your expertise will drive innovation, enhance and maintain high standards of security, and optimize our technology environment to support business growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, databases, and cloud services.
- Lead technical projects related to system upgrades, software implementations, and network enhancements while adhering to best practices.
- Oversee the configuration, administration, and security of IT assets with programs including Huntress, Intune (Microsoft for Government), end user products and licensure, Future Feed, and others.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware procurement, software licensing, and service agreements; ensure effective vendor management.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for desktop support issues, network problems, firewall configurations, and remote access solutions.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery plans, business continuity strategies, and cybersecurity measures to safeguard organizational data.
- Drive company cyber security efforts to achieve and maintain DOD/DOE CMMC certification and related process documentation requirements.
- Lead IT asset management activities including inventory control and distribution, lifecycle management, and compliance documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing IT operations within complex environments; we are a small company, so experience and ability to drive projects autonomously is essential.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Intune and Azure; virtualization technologies, and others as the need develops.
- Expertise in network engineering concepts including Cisco routers, LAN/WAN architecture, DHCP/DNS configuration, firewall management, and network security protocols.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft for Government, Microsoft Windows Server (including Active Directory), SharePoint, and SQL databases.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects from inception through completion using project management tools like Microsoft Project.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams; strong organizational skills for managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Knowledge of remote access software solutions; understanding of disaster recovery planning is a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are highly desirable.
