ManpowerGroup Public Sector (MGPS) is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our development team supporting a large and diverse user base. In this role, you’ll work across server administration, container orchestration, backend development, database design, API development, and modern frontend frameworks. You’ll also help shape and maintain our CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to ensure scalable, reliable, and efficient software delivery.
What You’ll Do
- Administer and support server infrastructure across development and production environments
- Build, deploy, and maintain containerized applications using OpenShift and Kubernetes
- Collaborate with backend and frontend teams to develop APIs and user interfaces
- Design and optimize SQL/NoSQL databases
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment workflows
- Champion DevOps best practices to enhance delivery speed, reliability, and system performance
- Monitor applications and infrastructure, diagnosing and resolving issues as they arise
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in a relevant field plus 3+ years of directly related experience
- Strong server administration and infrastructure management skills
- Hands-on experience with Docker, OpenShift, and Kubernetes
- Backend development experience with the .NET framework
- Database design and management experience (SQL or NoSQL)
- Proven experience developing and integrating APIs
- Frontend development experience with Angular
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
- Solid understanding of DevOps principles and practices
Preferred Skills
- Consistent adherence to change-management and release processes
- Strong communication, collaboration, and transparency with team members
- Ability to follow release plans, including creation and validation of rollback strategies
- Disciplined documentation habits across code, architecture decisions, and deployments
- Dependability in providing backup support for Angular front-end and .NET API work
- Proactive identification and communication of risks, blockers, and issues
