Location: Tarrytown, NY (Onsite)

Employment Type: 12-Month Contract

Pay Rate: $53–$58/hour (W2)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced MFT Operations Engineer to support Managed File Transfer (MFT), integration, and cloud operations within a global technology environment.


This role will support the design, implementation, monitoring, and ongoing operation of Azure, AWS, and on-premises environments, with a strong focus on Managed File Transfer and related integration services.


The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with MFT platforms, cloud/infrastructure environments, troubleshooting, automation, and production operations. You will work closely with development, infrastructure, security, project, and vendor teams to maintain reliable and secure data transfer services.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support Managed File Transfer (MFT) and integration services in a DevOps/operations environment.
  • Manage, maintain, and monitor GoAnywhere MFT, FileCatalyst, web application servers, reverse proxies, WAF, database servers, scheduled tasks, and data transfers.
  • Support data transfers using technologies such as HTTPS, FTPS, SFTP, OpenFT, and Windows/Linux-based environments.
  • Monitor systems and proactively identify and resolve operational issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and problems involving services, applications, jobs, and data transfers.
  • Implement approved changes related to data transfer services, applications, workflows, and scheduled jobs.
  • Apply and maintain appropriate security settings following least-privilege principles and document exceptions or deviations.
  • Collaborate with development teams to evaluate and support customer requirements and requests.
  • Partner with infrastructure, security, operations, project management, vendors, and other technical teams to deliver reliable solutions.
  • Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, and infrastructure teams to support seamless deployments from development through production.
  • Contribute to automation, standardization, simplification, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay current with relevant MFT, cloud, automation, and infrastructure technologies.


Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience working with Managed File Transfer, data transfer, or integration platforms.
  • 3+ years of experience designing and implementing end-to-end technical solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Managed File Transfer technologies and data transfer protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with GoAnywhere MFT and/or FileCatalyst.
  • Experience supporting production systems, troubleshooting incidents, and implementing technical changes.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux environments.
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Perl, PHP, .NET, or SQL.
  • Experience with workflow automation, including Microsoft Power Automate/Flows, RPA, or similar automation technologies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders across multiple teams.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HelpSystems/Fortra GoAnywhere MFT and related security capabilities.
  • Knowledge of third-party authentication and web application security.
  • Experience with cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure and AWS.
  • Experience with automation and logical workflow development.
  • ITIL Foundation certification is preferred.
  • Experience working in a global or distributed technology environment.
