We are seeking a Software Development Engineer – Embedded HVAC Devices (Data Center) to drive the technical development of embedded software for advanced HVAC devices in data center environments. This role is responsible for ensuring robust, secure, and efficient device operation in critical infrastructure, working closely with global engineering teams and stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

- Lead technical execution of embedded software projects for HVAC devices in data centers.

- Guide and coordinate internal and external software developers to ensure high-quality output.

- Design and implement software adhering to advanced security standards, including OCP (Open Compute Project) guidelines.

- Integrate and manage data center-specific communication protocols, focusing on the Redfish REST API.

- Collaborate with other domains (I&V, Sensing, Hardware) to meet system requirements.

- Translate system requirements into software architecture and actionable technical tasks.

- Ensure seamless integration of features from embedded platforms (RTOS, Matlab/Simulink).

- Communicate project status, challenges, and successes to stakeholders.


Required Expertise:

  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 3 - 5+ years of technical experience leading embedded systems software development projects.
  • Strong project management and technical leadership background.
  • Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams (Hardware, QA, etc.).
  • Familiarity with data center infrastructure and management protocols, including REST APIs.
  • Understanding of advanced security standards for critical infrastructure (OCP guidelines).
  • Deep technical understanding of embedded systems, including hardware functions (sensing, control).
  • Strong knowledge of embedded platforms such as RTOS and Matlab/Simulink.
  • Ability to guide technical design and architecture decisions.
  • Willingness to learn, structured and detail-oriented working style.
  • Team-oriented, proactive attitude with good communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills; effective at coaching less-experienced engineers.
