We're looking for an Electrical Digital Delivery Technologist in Portland Oregon who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. Join us and you’ll have the chance to work on projects including semiconductor manufacturing facilities, and other state of the art manufacturing and research facilities. We are seeking a Developer with strong SQL Server expertise to help build and support software solutions that improve the efficiency of engineering and design teams working on large-scale semiconductor facility projects. The ideal candidate enjoys solving business process challenges through automation, data integration, reporting, and application development. This role focuses on enabling engineering productivity and design execution through technology.

The ideal candidate has a passion for building reliable, high-performance applications and possesses deep knowledge of SQL Server database design, optimization, and troubleshooting.

Here's what you'll need

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs.
  • Create and optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures, views, and functions.
  • Analyze and improve query performance through indexing and optimization techniques.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to implement new features.
  • Develop and maintain data integration and ETL processes.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and identify root causes.
  • Ensure data security, consistency, and integrity across systems.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards and best practices.
  • Create technical documentation for applications and database systems.
  • Monitor application and database performance and implement improvements.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Design and implement solutions that automate repetitive engineering and design workflows.
  • Develop tools, integrations, and data services that improve engineering team productivity and reduce manual effort.
  • Build and maintain databases and APIs that support engineering design data and project information.
  • Develop Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions that provide insight into project status, design progress, resource utilization, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Support and enhance existing Microsoft Access applications while helping modernize systems and workflows.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of backend development experience.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
  • Experience designing relational database schemas.
  • Strong understanding of database indexing, performance tuning, and query optimization.
  • Experience with source control systems such as Git.
  • Solid problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with C# and .NET.
  • Experience with Entity Framework or other ORM technologies.
  • Experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure Functions, or cloud platforms.
  • Experience with data migration and integration projects.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft Access application development and maintenance.
  • Experience migrating Microsoft Access databases to SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with Access forms, reports, VBA, and linked SQL Server tables.
  • Experience developing and optimizing Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Experience integrating SQL Server data sources with Power BI.
  • Knowledge of Power BI data models, Power Query, and report performance tuning.
  • Experience with design in Revit or developing with the Revit API.
  • Experience supporting engineering design organizations through workflow automation, data management, reporting, or productivity-enhancing software solutions is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor facility design, engineering, construction, or project execution processes is a plus, but not required.

The base salary range for this position is $135,800.00 to $237,600.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
