We are partnering with an innovative Norwegian software company that is transforming how retailers manage orders across physical and digital sales channels. Founded in 2017, the company identified a significant gap in the retail technology market and has since built a modern cloud-based platform that delivers seamless omnichannel commerce experiences for leading retailers across Northern Europe.

The Opportunity

You'll join a close-knit engineering team responsible for developing and enhancing a modern cloud-native product built on the Microsoft stack. The platform processes large volumes of business-critical data and integrates with multiple external systems, requiring strong engineering practices and a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.

The company offers a genuinely collaborative environment where developers have a voice, ownership is encouraged, and hierarchies are kept to a minimum.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services using .NET and C#.
• Build and enhance APIs and integrations with external business systems.
• Work closely with product, support and engineering colleagues to deliver new features.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making.
• Improve system performance, reliability and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
• Explore and adopt modern development tools and technologies, including AI-assisted development workflows.
• Collaborate within Agile development teams to deliver high-quality software.

Required Experience

• 5+ years' experience developing applications with .NET / C# (flexible for exceptional candidates).
• Strong backend development experience.
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure.
• Understanding of APIs, integrations and distributed systems.
• Experience building scalable, cloud-based applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset.
• Comfortable working closely with stakeholders and other technical teams.
• Norwegian language skills preferred.
