Senior Accounting Manager-NetSuite

Our client, a privately held business, is hiring a Senior Accounting Manager to run accounting operations across several business units. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, this person will manage the monthly close, produce reliable financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. NetSuite experience is essential for this role.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting leader with strong NetSuite skills who likes a fast pace and gets satisfaction from implementing best practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close and deliver accurate financial statements.
• Manage core accounting functions, including general ledger, payables, receivables, payroll, and cash.
• Oversee inventory accounting and keep inventory values accurate and well supported.
• Keep the balance sheet clean through account reconciliations and fixed asset management.
• Uphold GAAP compliance and a strong internal control environment.
• Work with operations to improve inventory accuracy and reporting.
• Deliver margin, pricing, and profitability analysis across sales channels.
• Assist the Vice President of Finance with budgets, forecasts, cash flow planning, and financial analysis.
• Keep financial data in NetSuite accurate and help build out Power BI reporting.
• Supervise and develop the accounting staff while strengthening systems and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA a plus.
• Hands-on NetSuite experience strongly preferred.
• At least 7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Background as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or Senior Accounting Manager preferred.
• Working knowledge of inventory accounting and multi-channel businesses.
• Comfortable working closely with operations and senior leadership in a roll-up-your-sleeves setting.
