Senior Controller

Soni is partnering with a growing organization seeking a Senior Controller to help lead the accounting function, strengthen internal controls, and support continued growth.

This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility across technical accounting, financial reporting, audit, tax equity, and team development. The ideal candidate brings relevant industry experience and is comfortable operating both strategically and in the details.

Responsibilities:

• Lead core accounting and controllership activities
• Oversee month-end close and financial reporting
• Support tax equity and other complex accounting matters
• Build and strengthen internal controls
• Manage external audit activity
• Support multi-entity accounting and consolidations
• Lead and develop a small accounting team
• Partner closely with senior finance leadership
• Improve accounting processes and infrastructure

Requirements:

• Experience within renewable energy, construction, or real estate development
• Strong controllership and technical accounting background
• Tax equity or similar complex accounting experience
• Strong internal controls experience
• Experience managing external audits
• Hands-on leadership style
• Strong communication skills

Preferred Skills:

• Direct renewable energy experience
• CPA strongly preferred
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience
• Public accounting candidates with meaningful renewable energy audit experience will also be considered

Compensation: $180,000 - $220,000

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
