Software Quality Analyst

Summary

Our client is seeking a software Quality Analyst to conduct manual and automated testing and apply business analysis principles to ensure the software meets business requirements. The role starts with a strong focus on manual testing and grows into test automation as the team transitions from Selenium to Playwright. This is a 12-month remote Contract with quarterly in-office PI planning, ideal for a self-starter who takes initiative in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Responsibilities

• Analyze documentation and translate business processes into testable requirements.
• Execute system, regression, and user acceptance testing while participating in Agile ceremonies.
• Develop new automated tests in Playwright and support the Selenium-to-Playwright conversion.
• Validate back-end data against the UI to confirm business logic is applied correctly.
• Document test plans, test cases, and defect reports using industry-standard tools.

Requirements

• Experience as a Software Quality Analyst on development projects including manual testing.
• Automation experience with Selenium or Playwright.
• Experience using SQL for back-end testing.
• Strong analytical skills and familiarity with Agile including work with product owners on user stories.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred

• Playwright experience.
• Knowledge of insurance industry operations and regulatory requirements.

This is a 12-month Contract opportunity with our Kansas City, MO client.
