IT/OT Integration Engineer - Manufacturing Systems (f/m)

Responsibilities

  • maintain and improve integration between machines, MES and enterprise systems,
  • troubleshoot technical issues affecting production and data flows,
  • ensure data reliability, traceability and system interoperability,
  • integrate new machines and equipment into the manufacturing ecosystem,
  • support automation, traceability and digitalization projects,
  • work closely with production, maintenance, quality and engineering teams,
  • provide hands-on technical support on the shop floor and train users,
  • translate operational needs into practical technical solutions,
  • coordinate system improvements with suppliers, system integrators and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • good understanding of industrial automation, machinery and equipment,
  • knowledge of industrial IT, networks, communication protocols and system integration,
  • understanding of servers, infrastructure and industrial connectivity,
  • basic programming skills (e.g. Java, C# or C++),
  • strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams,
  • fluent English.

Nice-to-have

  • experience with MES systems,
  • experience in electronics manufacturing (EMS) or automotive production,
  • exposure to Industry 4.0, industrial digitalization or connectivity projects,
  • experience in highly automated manufacturing environments.
