Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Work with Agile scrum teams to design, develop, test, and deliver software that controls advanced DNA sequencing and genotyping instruments
• Build robust, scalable, and maintainable software designs to support product innovation
• Take part in the full Agile cycle — sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and demos
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects to support product quality and delivery timelines
• Contribute to design discussions and code reviews to maintain high engineering standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Strong OOP skills, preferably C#, with experience in asynchronous .NET applications
• Experience building REST-based services/APIs, with front-end frameworks such as Angular or React
• Skilled in writing unit tests and clean, maintainable code
• Proficient with Git for version control, and experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated build workflows
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor AI is a plus
• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems is preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Familiar with Agile methodologies and cross-functional teamwork
• Experience with embedded systems/hardware integration is a plus
