Lead Business Intelligence Analyst

Location: Overland Park, KS

Workplace: Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week, Tuesday through Thursday

Experience: 5–12 years

We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to support data-driven business and product decisions across Cox Automotive. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SQL, Power BI, data storytelling, stakeholder management, and web/digital analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, data assets, and data pipelines using SQL, Power BI, and related analytics technologies.

• Partner with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into analytics requirements.

• Support product ideation, discovery, and opportunity analysis using business and customer data.

• Develop KPIs and success metrics and support experimentation, A/B testing, and statistical analysis.

• Validate analytics tagging specifications and perform data validation/UAT to ensure accurate data capture.

• Monitor post-launch product and business performance and provide recurring and ad-hoc reporting and analysis.

• Collaborate with reporting teams to automate recurring KPI reports and identify opportunities for deeper analysis.

• Analyze online user behavior and digital analytics data to generate actionable business insights.

• Present findings through clear data storytelling, highlighting key takeaways and business recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Work independently while collaborating with analytics, product, reporting, and other cross-functional teams.

• Learn and apply new analytics technologies and work with vendors when required.

• Support analytics projects and initiatives while meeting project milestones and timelines.

Required Qualifications:

• 5–12 years of relevant experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Product Analytics, or a related field.

• Strong hands-on SQL experience.

• Strong Power BI experience, including dashboard and report development.

• Experience with data storytelling and communicating analytical findings to business stakeholders.

• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Experience with web analytics or digital analytics tools.

• Ability to independently translate business questions into analytical approaches and actionable insights.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Automotive industry experience.

• Product analytics or product management experience.

• UX/user behavior analytics experience.

• Experience with experimentation, A/B testing, and statistical analysis.

• Experience with analytics implementation, tagging validation, and UAT.

• Experience building or maintaining data pipelines and data assets.

• Experience automating recurring reports and KPI dashboards.

Travel:

Up to 5% travel may be required, including same-day or overnight business travel.
