Position: Manufacturing Business Analyst

Location: Georgetown, KY

Length: 12 month contract to hire

Rate: $85,000-$105,000/yr

About the Opportunity

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support manufacturing operations and technology initiatives within a large enterprise manufacturing environment. This role serves as the bridge between plant operations, business stakeholders, and technical teams to identify improvement opportunities, define requirements, and deliver solutions that drive operational efficiency.

This position offers the opportunity to work closely with manufacturing leadership, end users, developers, and data teams while supporting initiatives that impact multiple production facilities across North America.

What You'll Do

• Partner with manufacturing and business stakeholders to understand operational challenges and identify improvement opportunities
• Conduct plant-floor observations and workflow assessments to evaluate processes, systems, and user needs
• Analyze current-state processes and help define future-state solutions
• Gather, document, and manage business and functional requirements
• Create and maintain BRDs, PRDs, process flows, business rules, and acceptance criteria
• Collaborate with developers and data analysts to assess solution feasibility and validate business needs
• Lead requirements discussions and support solution design activities
• Evaluate technology and process alternatives based on business value, operational impact, cost, and scalability
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and prioritize initiatives with business and IT leadership
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, and business validation activities
• Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle
• Support implementation planning, user adoption, training documentation, and transition to support teams
• Define success metrics and measure business outcomes following implementation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
• 5+ years of Business Analyst or Systems Analyst experience
• Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, production, or plant operations environments
• Strong background in requirements gathering and process analysis
• Experience creating BRDs, PRDs, process maps, and functional documentation
• Proficiency with SQL and Power BI
• Experience coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to travel up to 30%
