Senior Software Engineer & Platform Owner

该职位来源于猎聘 About this opportunity You'll be the software engineering backbone of a small, ambitious Data, AI & Analytics team embedded in the R&D function of a global automotive component supplier — helping internal engineers and scientists make smarter decisions through data. Every AI solution, data product, and internal tool the team builds needs solid application development — frontends, APIs, deployment pipelines, production-grade code — and you'll drive that across the board. One major piece of that ownership is a globally used R&D Operations Platform (work orders, prototypes, test results). It's a legacy C#/.NET monolith that must stay running while new feature demands keep coming. You'll own the architecture decisions, define the modernization path forward, and decide what to build yourself vs. delegate to external contractors. As part of the team, you will: Own the R&D Operations Platform (~60%)

• Be the authoritative technical owner: deeply understand the C#/.NET codebase, MSSQL stored procedures, and domain logic (work orders, recipe management, test results, raw materials)
• Translate business requirements from global engineering users into technical specs and contractor work packages
• Delegate maintenance, bug fixes, and feature work to external contractors (contractors, managed service provider); review their deliverables for quality and consistency
• Define and drive the modernization strategy: evaluate which domains to extract, rebuild, or leave in place — and execute incrementally while new feature requests keep flowing
• Align stakeholders across business users, IT operations, and engineering teams (US, EMEA, China) Build applications & establish engineering practices (~40%)
• Design and build new microservices for the team's AI and data products and be the go-to advisor when the team needs guidance on software architecture
• Establish software engineering standards across all team projects: testing, CI/CD, code review, deployment practices
• Embrace AI-assisted development as a daily working practice and help the team adopt efficient, modern engineering workflows We are looking for someone who:
• Has 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience shipping and maintaining production systems
• Is strong in modern full-stack development: React, Python (or equivalent), REST APIs
• Can read, navigate, and reason about C#/.NET codebases and MSSQL databases — enough to steer architecture decisions and review contractor code
• Has experience managing technical deliverables from external contractors or vendors
• Is comfortable working with AWS cloud services (ECS/Fargate, Lambda, RDS, S3, API Gateway)
• Has strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Can operate autonomously: prioritize, make architecture trade-offs, and drive decisions. We'd be particularly excited if you also:
• Have experience with applications delivered through remote desktop or application streaming infrastructure (Citrix, AWS AppStream)
• Have a STEM background — mechanical engineering, materials science, or manufacturing R&D familiarity or has worked in such a domain.
• Are proficient with AI-assisted development workflows and can establish team practices around them
• Have experience with data platform integration (understanding data flows between operational systems and data lakes)
• Have designed CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and testing strategies for production services
• Speak German or Chinese as a local language complement
