Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer with expertise in OutSystems and Microsoft .NET technologies to design, develop, enhance, and support business-critical applications across operations, manufacturing, engineering, and corporate functions.

This role will work as part of an Agile development team responsible for delivering innovative business solutions, modernizing legacy applications, improving operational efficiency, and supporting application modernization initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate with business analysts, product owners, architects, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions while providing ongoing support for production applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise applications using OutSystems and Microsoft .NET technologies.
• Build and maintain responsive web applications, APIs, integrations, and workflows supporting business and operational processes.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to refine user stories, define requirements, and deliver business value.
• Develop and support REST and SOAP APIs, services, and integrations with internal and external systems.
• Participate in application modernization efforts, including migration of legacy systems to supported platforms and architectures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration, and performance issues across production and non-production environments.
• Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and support materials.
• Perform unit testing, automated testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) activities.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline implementation and deployment automation efforts.
• Work closely with infrastructure, security, architecture, and operations teams to ensure secure, scalable, and supportable solutions.
• Provide production support and participate in on-call rotations for critical business applications as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience developing enterprise business applications.
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft .NET technologies including:
• C#
• ASP.NET
• .NET Core / .NET 8+
• REST APIs
• 2+ years of experience developing applications on the OutSystems platform.
• Experience with relational database design and development using Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience integrating applications through APIs, web services, and messaging technologies.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• OutSystems Associate Reactive Developer Certification (or higher).
• Experience migrating applications from low-code platforms to traditional code-based solutions.
• Experience with:

• CI/CD Pipelines
• Docker or containerization technologies
• AWS and/or Azure Cloud Services
• Blazor, React, or other modern JavaScript frameworks
• Entity Framework
• Experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, order management, supply chain, ERP, or other enterprise business systems.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as Microsoft Copilot or GitHub Copilot.
• Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and scalable enterprise application design.
