Engineering Lead – AWS Platform, Infrastructure & Operations

A long standing and exciting client of ours in the Fintech space are once again expanding and looking to bring in an Engineering Lead whose focus will be on transforming financial services through technology and helping more people feel comfortable with their finances. This is a remote role with once a month meet ups in central London.

We're looking for an Operations Engineering Lead to lead the AWS infrastructure and operations function, setting the direction for platform, DevOps, reliability, security and developer experience.

The role:

• Lead and develop a team of 5-7 Operations Engineers.
• Shape the AWS, infrastructure and DevOps strategy.
• Drive reliability, security, observability and operational excellence.
• Champion “You Build It, You Run It” engineering practices.
• Drive cloud cost optimisation and FinOps.
• Partner with Engineering, Product and Security to deliver scalable, secure solutions.
• Provide technical leadership while empowering your team to own outcomes.

You must have:

• Proven experience leading engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, SRE or Operations teams of 3years+
• Strong AWS and cloud infrastructure expertise - 10years+
• Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and observability.
• Knowledge of Docker, incident management and cloud security.
• Strong technical, strategic and people leadership skills.
