Job Title: Lead Software Engineer
Location: Cowes - Isle of Wight
Hourly Rate: £54.57 PAYE OR £73.68 Umbrella inside IR35
Duration: 6 months
Working Arrangements: Full-time on-site

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply experience to design & develop sub-system solutions, resolve engineering issues and problems, and provide guidance to others for a range of software products as part of a 70 strong software team within the Products area of BAE Systems
• Provide technical expertise across the software team for the ongoing maintenance of software that is part of the naval radars that are in service with the Royal Navy on multiple platforms
• Provide technical expertise across the software team for the requirements, design, implementation, testing and verification of the software subsystems on Naval radars

Skills & Requirements

• Candidate must have sole UK nationality due to the clearances required on this specific project
• Extensive experience of using at least one high level programming language - Knowledge of Ada95 is highly desirable
• Experience using UML
• Having worked within defence or another regulated industry is highly desirable
