Job Title: Engineer – Paint Materials
Location: Georgetown, KY 40324
Work arrangement: Onsite
Duration: 12 months (Possible extension/conversion)
Employment Type: Contract

Shift: Monday–Friday, Standard Shift
Pay rate: $54 - $64/hr. on W2

Note:
- Overtime: Up to 20 hours per week (weekends, holidays, and shutdown periods)
- Travel: Yes Domestic & International
Responsibilities:
- Lead new color & material introductions to all NAMCs (body & resin paint) from lab workability through online testing and production approval, including trial planning, quality evaluations, and direction setting recommendations – primary focus on paint & resin shops.
- Establish process controls and parameters (RJ) for new materials/technologies and gain one-voice among cross-functional teams
- Lead materials-related problem solving across multiple divisions; applying TBP methods to identify root-cause and countermeasures
- Support and assess CPU and Environmental impacts of new materials; quantify cost/benefit and lead decision-making with stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Proficient summarizing data and creating charts in Excel, building presentations in PowerPoint.
- Experience leading multiple projects that required coordination with people outside your immediate team (other departments, vendors or external groups).
- Experienced in analyzing data to identify the true root cause of a problem in addition to implementing countermeasures.
- Experience creating and presenting reports to multiple levels of management.
- 1+ year evaluating color and appearance of painted surfaces.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and shutdown periods to support projects.
- Ability to travel (up to 30%) to support NAMC competitiveness.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, etc.
- TBP completed through panel
- Served as SME or internal auditor for North American QR/QS/QH process
- Project experience within Paint Pilot function
- 1+ years of experience in paint lab doing workability evaluations
- Basic Japanese language skills
- Basic Spanish language skills
