Excis is looking for experienced EUC Field Technicians to support a major healthcare technology deployment across hospitals and clinical facilities in Kentucky.
Multiple positions are available across the Lexington and surrounding Kentucky areas.
Depending on the specific opening, technicians may be assigned to a client site in:
Lexington Metro Area, London, or Bardstown, KY.
Technicians will be assigned to and report to their respective client location. Candidates should apply only if they are located within a reasonable commuting distance of the assigned client site.
The successful candidates will provide hands-on desktop and field support, including device deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, end-user support, and post-deployment stabilization.
This is an onsite, field-based position requiring technicians who can work independently in active healthcare environments and provide professional technical support to clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and deploy desktops, laptops, thin clients, monitors, and other end-user devices.
- Configure wired and wireless network connectivity and validate device functionality.
- Image and configure Windows devices, applications, peripherals, and user access.
- Deploy and troubleshoot barcode scanners, label printers, laser printers, Workstations on Wheels (WOWs), and clinical workstations.
- Follow deployment runbooks, room/floor plans, asset-management procedures, and client standards.
- Record asset tags, serial numbers, and equipment locations accurately.
- Perform device readiness checks before system cutover, including printer mapping, scanner configuration, application launch, and peripheral testing.
- Provide at-the-elbow technical support to healthcare staff during deployment and go-live activities.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, peripheral, connectivity, and device-integration issues.
- Replace failed equipment and coordinate returns through established client processes.
- Work assigned tickets through the client's ITSM/ticketing system and document resolutions.
- Escalate issues appropriately and communicate recurring problems or trends to onsite leads.
- Follow HIPAA, security, infection-control, safety, and confidentiality requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of hands-on desktop support, EUC deployment, deskside support, or field services experience.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and desktop troubleshooting.
- Experience with device imaging and configuration.
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory.
- Experience troubleshooting wired and wireless connectivity.
- Experience installing and troubleshooting printers and IT peripherals.
- Experience working with enterprise ITSM/ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or Cherwell.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid U.S. driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and current auto insurance.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must be able to reliably commute to the assigned client location.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Epic or other healthcare applications.
- Previous experience working in hospitals, clinics, or healthcare environments.
- Experience with clinical workstations, WOWs, Zebra printers, barcode scanners, badge readers, or single sign-on devices.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent technical certification.
- Experience supporting large-scale hardware refreshes or multi-site technology deployments.

Successful candidates must complete and pass the client’s required onboarding and compliance process before starting, which may include:
- Identity and employment authorization verification

- Required healthcare immunization and vaccination documentation
- TB screening
- Client-required HIPAA, security, infection-control, and safety training
Working Conditions
This position involves working in active hospital and clinical environments.
Technicians should be comfortable with:
- Standing and walking for most of the workday
- Lifting and carrying equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
- Pushing and maneuvering carts and Workstations on Wheels (WOWs)
- Bending, kneeling, crawling under desks, and reaching overhead
- Working in patient-care areas and clinical environments
- Following PPE and infection-control requirements
- Schedules that may require early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays depending on project requirements
