Indexed description
This position is based out of our headquarters in the Greater Seattle area.
Who We Need
Truveta is building a diverse and inclusive team to tackle complex health and technical challenges. We are seeking enthusiastic new graduates who are problem-solvers, collaborative teammates, and eager to make a difference in healthcare. If you’re excited about purposeful work, joining a mission-driven team, and launching your career in a supportive environment, Truveta could be the perfect place to start.
This Opportunity
At Truveta, you'll help health systems turn clinical data into better care. You'll work at the intersection of cloud services, analytical data platforms, and user experiences, building technology that lets clinical and quality teams define, monitor, and act on the metrics that matter most.
Health systems deserve modern, intuitive tools for measuring care quality. Too often, getting answers from large-scale clinical data requires specialized skills and long turnaround times. At Truveta, we are building a next-generation analytics platform that lets health systems securely explore their data, track performance over time, and drive measurable improvements in patient outcomes.
We are seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and operate the services behind Truveta's clinical analytics experiences. You will develop scalable cloud services, APIs, and analytical data infrastructure, and contribute across the stack to deliver secure, reliable, high-performance solutions that make self-serve analytics a reality for health systems.
You will work closely with Product, Design, Data, and Engineering teams to translate the needs of clinical and quality leaders into intuitive, scalable experiences. This role offers the chance to solve challenging technical problems, shape the future of Truveta's analytics platform, and make a meaningful impact on our mission of saving lives with data.
Work Areas
- Build analytics infrastructure that serves population-level health data with low latency, so health systems can interactively explore and slice large datasets.
- Design and build self-serve dashboarding capabilities that enable health systems to define, customize, and share the metrics they use to monitor care quality.
- Develop services and APIs for metric definition, computation, and monitoring, with strong tenant isolation, access control, and data security.
- Optimize query performance and data modeling (aggregation strategies, caching, and storage layout) to deliver fast, reliable analytics at scale.
- Partner with Product, Design, and Data teams to turn clinical quality use cases into well-scoped, production-ready features.
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of experience building, deploying, and operating scalable cloud services using .NET (C#), Python, or a similar language.
- Experience with data, OLAP, or analytics technologies, such as analytical databases, BI and dashboarding tools, or data modeling for reporting workloads.
- Solid backend development experience with REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native architectures on platforms such as Azure.
- Working knowledge of SQL and an understanding of query performance and data modeling tradeoffs.
- Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams and deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Experience building embedded analytics, dashboarding, or other data-driven products for technical or business users.
- Familiarity with multi-tenant architectures, including row-level security and tenant data isolation.
- Familiarity with healthcare data, clinical quality measures, or health informatics.
- Experience with containerized deployments, observability, and operating production services.
