Location: Lansing, MI

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week

Duration: 1 Year + Possible Extension

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced System Analyst 6 with strong hands-on expertise in Windows and Linux system administration, Azure cloud infrastructure, application support, networking, security, monitoring, and technical troubleshooting.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and configuring systems and application components, supporting enterprise applications, analyzing technical requirements, recommending solutions, and collaborating with vendors and technical teams to implement application and infrastructure changes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot systems and application components across Windows and Linux environments.
  • Provide technical support for COTS and SaaS applications.
  • Gather, analyze, and document technical requirements for application changes and new initiatives.
  • Research technical solutions and present options and recommendations.
  • Implement and configure applications within Microsoft Azure Cloud infrastructure.
  • Support Azure services, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Troubleshoot application, server, database, network, and infrastructure issues.
  • Monitor applications and infrastructure using Dynatrace or similar monitoring/debugging tools.
  • Support web/application servers including IIS and Apache Tomcat.
  • Support applications utilizing Microsoft SQL Server / SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
  • Develop and utilize PowerShell scripts for administration and automation.
  • Support application deployments and changes using Azure DevOps.
  • Configure and troubleshoot SSO and authentication technologies, including SAML, OAuth, and OpenID.
  • Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, network connectivity, firewall, and infrastructure-related issues.
  • Create and maintain technical architecture and infrastructure diagrams using Microsoft Visio or similar tools.
  • Identify and remediate system, application, and infrastructure vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure applications and infrastructure follow applicable security and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with vendors, customers, infrastructure teams, security teams, and other technical groups.
  • Prepare technical documentation and communicate technical solutions clearly.

Required Qualifications

  • 5–7+ years of experience installing, configuring, and supporting systems and applications in Windows and Linux environments.
  • Strong experience with Windows Server 2016 or later.
  • Strong experience with RHEL 7.0 or later.
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on Azure Cloud infrastructure experience.
  • Experience implementing and configuring applications in Azure.
  • Experience with Azure services, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Experience with IIS and Tomcat.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server / SSMS.
  • Experience with Dynatrace or similar monitoring/debugging tools.
  • Strong PowerShell experience.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of XML.
  • Experience with SAML, OAuth, and OpenID/OpenID Connect.
  • Strong understanding of LAN/WAN, networking, firewalls, and infrastructure architecture.
  • Experience with application/server monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with vulnerability remediation and infrastructure security.
  • Experience creating architecture and infrastructure diagrams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting COTS enterprise applications.
  • Experience supporting SaaS applications.
  • Experience working with vendors and cross-functional technical teams.
  • Experience in enterprise or highly regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud security and infrastructure best practices.
  • Experience with application deployment and infrastructure automation.

Work Requirements

  • Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week
  • Must be available onsite from Day 1
  • Must be available for an in-person interview
  • Remote-only candidates will not be considered
  • Candidates should be local to the Lansing, MI area and within approximately 2 hours of Lansing at the time of submission.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a Senior System Analyst, Systems Engineer, Systems Administrator, or Infrastructure Engineer with strong hands-on experience across Windows, Linux/RHEL, Azure, application support, cloud infrastructure, networking, security, monitoring, automation, and technical troubleshooting, combined with the ability to gather requirements, analyze technical problems, and recommend practical solutions.
