Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Application Developer to join our Solution Development team. The role will focus on the development, enhancement, and support of strategic in-house platforms supporting Front Office, Risk Management, Clearing, Operations, Regulatory Reporting, and Business Intelligence functions.

The successful candidate will play a key role in extending our internal development capabilities, working closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions across multiple asset classes and markets. You will participate throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through implementation, deployment, and ongoing support.

The responsibility of this role includes:

• Design, develop, integrate, and maintain enterprise applications supporting trading, risk, operations, and reporting functions.
• Develop new capabilities and enhancements using .NET Framework, C#, and MSSQL technologies.
• Collaborate with business users, product managers, operations teams, and technology stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Analyse business processes and identify opportunities to automate manual workflows and improve operational efficiency.
• Design and optimize database structures, SQL queries, stored procedures, and reporting solutions.
• Perform impact assessments and evaluate technical risks associated with system changes.
• Participate in application integration initiatives across internal and third-party platforms.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing application support and maintenance.
• Maintain technical documentation, system specifications, and solution designs.
• Follow software engineering best practices, including version control, code reviews, testing, release management, and change governance.
• Contribute to strategic technology initiatives supporting business growth, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
• Champion the organization's values, culture, and customer-first mindset while fostering a collaborative and high-performance working environment.

Qualification requirement:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3 to 8 years of experience in application development within financial services, capital markets, investment banking, or trading environments.
• Strong hands-on development experience with: C#, .NET Framework / .NET, Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL), Stored Procedures and Database Performance Tuning, GitHub and source control practices.
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and software engineering principles.
• Experience developing and supporting business-critical applications in a production environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of capital markets products including Equities, FX, Futures, Options, Fixed Income, and Derivatives.
• Understanding of front-to-back trade lifecycle and post-trade processing workflows.
• Experience integrating with broker, exchange, market data, clearing, or settlement platforms.

Good to have:

• Familiarity with FIX Protocol and electronic trading connectivity.
• Experience working with large-scale reporting, business intelligence, or data management platforms.
• Exposure to cloud technologies, APIs, and modern application architecture is advantageous.

This is a 12-month contract role with potential for renewal based on performance and business needs.
