Designs, develops, tests and supports Client's in-house applications on the Microsoft .NET and SQL Server stack, working with the Applications & Smart Services section.
Key Responsibilities
- Study and review requirements for systems to be developed in-house with the team.
- Work on project and system plans and review them with the Head of Applications & Smart Services.
- Prepare technical documents, including Functional Specification Documents and Entity Relationship Diagrams.
- Review databases and their components to meet system and project requirements.
- Administer Internet Information Services (IIS) within the scope of work.
- Work on new systems and projects, including designing and connecting their databases.
- Identify, fix, log and report software bugs to the team.
- Test systems before delivery, follow up projects after go-live with users, and resolve errors or issues arising in use.
- Develop and improve internal systems as needed.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 application support.
- Monitor system performance and alert specialists to any noticeable change.
- Work on assigned change requests and ensure the change request lifecycle is completed.
- Prepare regular reports on assigned tasks and submit them weekly to the Head of Applications & Smart Services.
- Perform any other related tasks assigned by the direct manager.
Technical Skills
- C# and the .NET platform (ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core, Web API)
- Microsoft SQL Server: T-SQL, stored procedures, database design and tuning
- IIS deployment and configuration
- Front-end web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Requirements analysis, functional specifications and ER modelling
- Testing, debugging, version control (e.g. Git / Azure DevOps) and change management
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (mandatory)
- Minimum 5 years of .NET development experience
- Strong Microsoft SQL Server experience
Preferred / Advantage
- Microsoft certifications (e.g. Azure Developer Associate)
- Experience building government or e-services applications
- Arabic language is an advantage (supports Arabic-language systems and users)
