Principal Full-Stack Engineer

Location: Los Angeles, CA (open to remote; preference for local or relocating candidates able to be onsite several days a week)

Salary: $160,000 base + generous founder equity, increasing at the next fundraising round

Who You'll Join

A live interactive mobile game show, rebuilt by a team who took a similar format to a $100M valuation within six months of launch. The product merges a story-driven mobile game with live-television production, and Season 1 launches this October off the back of a genuinely successful beta. The team is small and scrappy, and this role is roughly 65% backend, 35% Unity front-end, real architectural ownership from day one, not a narrow slice of either discipline.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and launch new features across the live games.
• Build reusable Unity front-end components aligned to the game's story and design.
• Build livestream technology directly into the games.
• Own the CI/CD pipeline through iOS and Android app store releases.
• Monitor and optimize scaling bottlenecks, diagnose issues fast.
• Own and clearly communicate technical architecture across the team.
• Monitor uptime and support the platform in production.

Who You Are

• You have 8+ years of software engineering experience, with deep expertise in .NET and Unity.
• You have built and scaled WebRTC-based livestream experiences to 100k+ concurrent users.
• You have hands-on experience with LiveKit or a similar streaming provider.
• You have owned iOS and Android apps end to end, from requirements through app store release.
• You work comfortably with Postgres and a NoSQL store like CosmosDB.
• You have mentored or managed junior engineers.
• Bonus: you've worked at a startup game company and use an agentic development workflow.
