Company Description Takumi Engineering is a specialized engineering company focused on delivering high-quality technical solutions and services to its clients in the automotive manufacturing industry. We are small but rapidly growing company currently at 3M in revenue and 10 team members, looking for an admin manager that can hit the ground running to help us get to the bext level.

Role Description The Accounting and Administrative Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chattanooga, TN. This position oversees day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, monthly financial reporting, and purchasing. The role manages budgeting support, monitors cash flow, and ensures compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. In addition, the manager coordinates administrative functions such as maintaining records, supporting HR processes, organizing office operations, and assisting with vendor and client documentation. The role collaborates with leadership to provide accurate financial insights, streamline administrative procedures, and support ongoing business initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting required, specifically quickbooks.
  • Strong skills in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and advanced use of spreadsheets and other productivity tools.
  • Experience managing administrative functions such as recordkeeping, office coordination, and support for HR or payroll processes.
  • Knowledge of basic tax, compliance, and internal control practices relevant to small or mid-sized businesses.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently on-site, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Prior experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or technical services environment is beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus but experience will be given highest priority.
