The Rotkreuz site is one of the company's key locations and combines international collaboration with highly specialized development activities in the field of in-vitro diagnostics.

The position offers the opportunity to work in a highly regulated and technology-driven environment, where software is closely connected to physical hardware and complex mechatronic systems. The successful candidate will become part of an Agile Release Train (ART) following the SAFe framework and will support a software development team working on real-time control software for advanced diagnostic instruments.

The position is planned to start on 1 November 2026, with the latest possible start date being 1 January 2027. The initial contract is planned for one year, with a very likely possibility of extension, subject to budget and project continuation.

  • Support the development of C++-based real-time control software running on PREEMPT_RT Linux and interfacing directly with custom electronics, sensors and hardware.
  • Contribute to an environment where software development and physical hardware development are closely connected.
  • Leverage modern AI-supported tools throughout the development lifecycle to optimize coding, testing, troubleshooting and development workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with defined development processes and quality requirements in a highly regulated environment.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay informed about relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards and market developments.
  • Support the team in maintaining high-quality technical documentation and driving tasks through to completion.

Must-Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
