Web Developer, modern JavaScript and TypeScript stack (Night Shift, Onsite Cebu). One opening. New graduates and former interns who can show real project work are welcome.

You build and maintain modern web and mobile applications for a United States e-commerce and software company: its own e-commerce platform, the integrations that connect it to marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Walmart and Home Depot, the shipping integrations with USPS, FedEx, UPS and DHL, and the internal tools and client projects around them. The stack is React.js, Next.js and React Native on the front, Node.js and REST or GraphQL APIs behind, with both relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and document stores (MongoDB and similar). On a dedicated engineering team in Cebu Business Park, you ship features, keep existing modules reliable, write tests, take part in code reviews and sprints, and work with designers, QA and DevOps to release on time. Night shift aligned to United States business hours, onsite, Monday to Friday.

What success looks like

Twelve months in, the interfaces you built are in daily use, the APIs you integrated move orders and shipments without manual fixes, your components are the ones other developers reuse, and your pull requests pass review the first time more often than not. The team lead hands you a new integration or a new mobile screen knowing it will be built cleanly, tested and documented.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, test and maintain web and mobile applications, with responsive, interactive interfaces in React.js, Next.js and React Native.
  • Develop new features for the e-commerce platform with scalability, performance and the user in mind; keep the existing codebase and its legacy modules reliable.
  • Build reusable, maintainable frontend components and application architectures.
  • Develop and integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs and the backend services behind them.
  • Build and maintain integrations with marketplaces (Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Home Depot, Channel Advisor, NetSuite) and with shipping providers (USPS, FedEx, UPS, DHL, Extensiv), plus third-party APIs, SaaS platforms, payment gateways and cloud services.
  • Work with relational and document databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB) and with JSON, XML, CSV and other structured data.
  • Implement authentication, authorization and session management; optimize for performance, accessibility, responsiveness and cross-browser use.
  • Write unit, integration and end-to-end tests where they earn their keep; take part in code reviews, sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives.
  • Troubleshoot across development, staging and production; keep the technical documentation for architecture, APIs and databases current.
  • Keep learning: Docker, CI/CD, cloud platforms, Linux and the tools that improve the team's workflow.

What we are looking for

  • Two years or more of web or application development, ideally with modern JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks; new graduates and former interns with strong, provable project work are welcome.
  • Strong JavaScript and/or TypeScript, and hands-on work with at least one of React.js, Next.js or React Native.
  • Solid modern frontend fundamentals: component-based architecture, state management, client-side and server-side rendering, responsive design, API integration, asynchronous programming.
  • At least one relational database (PostgreSQL, MySQL or SQL Server) and some familiarity with a document or file-based store.
  • REST APIs and modern web service architecture; Git in daily use with GitHub or GitLab workflows.
  • Browser developer tools, debugging, profiling and performance work; a working grasp of the software development lifecycle.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field, or the professional experience that stands in for it.
  • Strong problem solving, clear written and spoken English, and the habit of working independently while staying close to a distributed team.
  • Living in Cebu and available onsite in Cebu Business Park on the night shift, Monday to Friday.

Nice to have: Node.js with Express.js or NestJS; the Next.js App Router and server-side functionality; TypeScript throughout; Redis or other caching; GraphQL; WebSockets or real-time features; Docker; AWS, Azure or Google Cloud; serverless or modular architectures; Jest, Vitest, Playwright, Cypress or React Testing Library; UI component libraries and design systems; OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect or JWT; progressive web apps; Google Play and App Store releases; Linux, WSL or PowerShell; CI/CD and DevOps practices; Agile or Scrum.

Who does well here

The developers who do well on this team think through a problem before they type, own a task through to completion, and write code the next person can read and the next release can keep. They know that working software is more than an application that runs: it also has to be maintainable, secure, fast and usable. They pick up an unfamiliar technology without fuss, say so early when a task is bigger than it looked, explain a technical point to a non-technical colleague without talking down, and show up for every shift on time. They are open to new tools, including AI tools that take the routine parts of the job off their plate.

What you get: competitive package with salary appraisals; HMO and health insurance; night differential and holiday premium pay; service incentive leave upon regularization; a Monday to Friday schedule with weekends off; stable full-time employment as a direct hire, with real opportunity and growth; a healthy work environment with employee engagement activities; and a technically driven team founded by engineers, building modern, cloud-ready software rather than only maintaining legacy applications.

How we hire: apply here. Every applicant gets a reply. The process is a screening call in our evening, a short coding exercise, an interview with the engineering lead, and a final interview with the client's team by video on our shift. We aim to move within days, not weeks.
