Solution Architect (5908)

NextPath Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Solution Architect to join our client’s team in Reading, PA. This is a Hybrid, Contract To Hire position.

SALARY: $75-$85hr (depending on experience)

Requirements

• 10+ years of enterprise/application architecture experience
• Deep expertise in Java, Spring, microservices architecture, API design, and system integration
• Cloud-native architecture experience, preferably with AWS
• Experience designing platforms with containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift
• Strong communication skills
• Proven ability to design solutions with downstream impacts across multiple applications and systems
• Experience operating within large enterprise environments, with a focus on modernization and integration

Responsibilities

• Partner with application teams to design scalable, secure solutions to business problems
• Conduct architecture reviews and guide teams through approval processes
• Ensure solution alignment with enterprise standards and capabilities
• Act as a liaison between development teams, business stakeholders, and leadership
• Review and validate modernization initiatives, including transitioning from WebSphere to OpenShift
• Provide technical insights to support decision-making and design validation
• Lead design reviews, develop architecture patterns, and ensure solution performance, security, and maintainability
• Mentor junior team members on architectural best practices
